2017 Mitsubishi Triton Release date, Review, Engine
Mitsubishi is set to follow up the 2016 Mitsubishi Triton which is currently on sale with a new model for 2017 dubbed the “2017 Mitsubishi Triton”. The new model will feature only slight changes from the 2016 model. The automaker will maintain the current platform as it has proved to be reliable and durable. The slight changes are meant to increase its driving feel.
2017 Mitsubishi Triton Exterior
The new Triton will weigh less as the manufacturer will use lightweight materials such as aluminum combined with steel in making its structure. The vehicle will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. At the front, the Triton will feature a modern looking grille which features a new metallic look with 6 openings. The new HID headlights are prominent and glossy looking. The bonnet features several lines and curves which give the vehicle an attractive look. Other features include side steps, fog lights, LED daytime running lights, a reverse view camera and painted bumpers.

The auto maker has not released details concerning the vehicles trim levels. However, we expect the standard interior to feature a sports bar, auto folding side mirrors, a leather wrapped steering wheel, a new audio system and a dual zone temperature control system. The dash board will feature a 6.1 inch touch screen which displays important information to the driver, a DAB digital sound system, Radio tuner, Google MAPS, 3D satellite and a navigation system among other awesome features. For safety purposes, the 2017 Mitsubishi Triton will feature enhanced airbags, anti-theft alarm, anti-lock braking system and a rearview camera.
2017 Mitsubishi Triton Engine
The 2017 Mitsubishi Triton will be a SUV. It comes with a 2.4 L4-cylinder turbocharged diesel power-train. The engine will produce 133 kW and 430 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission system. There are rumors that the manufacturer might include a hybrid power-train for the new Triton; however, details about its specs are yet to be released. It will be offered in AWD option. In terms of fuel economy, the car is expected to deliver 32mpg and 35 mpg for city drive and on highway respectively.
2017 Mitsubishi Triton Price and release date
It is still early days and the vehicle is still in its development stage. Though Mitsubishi has not released information on the 2017 Mitsubishi Triton price and release date, we expect the car to make its debut in the last quarter of 2016 either during the New York or Detroit Auto Shows. The base trim of the model will cost around $25,000 with higher trim going for up to $ 30,000. Its major competitors will be Ford Raptor, Chevy Silverado and Ford F150.
