2016 Nissan Titan release date, price, review

New 2016 Nissan Titan comes fully redesigned for this model year. Besides design upgrades and modernization, new Titan also has some performance updates. Previously unpopular diesel units returned on the market in high speeds, forcing manufacturers to add some diesel units to the line-up. Nissan answered to customer’s demand for diesel units, and added one to its latest 2016 Titan pick-up truck.

2016 Nissan Titan Front


At 2015 Detroit Auto Show, Nissan presented its redesigned pickup truck Titan. New exterior styling brings a lot of changes. Front end is fully redesigned with new headlights and new grille. Complete front fascia brought completely new image of the truck. Its body shape is now adjusted to being more aerodynamic.

New Titan also offers diversity of choices for body styles. Completely five trim levels is available, three cab configurations, two frame sizes and three bed lengths. Two frame sizes include standard and larger one, named XD. Interior styling is much more modern than before. It is upholstered in leather, and equipped with latest features. In the center of the dashboard is placed a 7-inch display paired with Rockford Fosgate audio system and other connectivity gadgets.

2016 Nissan Titan ENGINE LINE-UP

Besides great new exterior, 2016 Titan received also performance upgrade. Under its hood are now placed two engines, including one diesel and one petrol, both V8. Already known engine is gasoline 5.6-liter V8 capable to deliver 317 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. New, from this model year, is a 5.0-liter V8 Cummins diesel engine capable to produce 310 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque.

Towing capacity of the new Titan XD exceeds 12,000 pounds, when properly equipped. Fuel economy for the new Titan is not known yet, but both engines come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

2016 Nissan Titan Interior


Even though new Titan had premiere at this year Detroit Auto show its release and on-sale date is not expected before late this year, probably during the fall. Price of the model should start around the same figure as previous 2015 model, which is around $30,000.
