2016 Kia Sedona Review, Price, Release date

2016 Kia Sedona comes with minimal changes, since the model went through big redesign for previous model year. Currently in its third generation, which started a year ago Sedona minivan is still fresh and new, so South Korean automaker doesn’t need to make any big upgrades in order to keep it competitive. The model offer high level of refinement and functionality, which will provide it to be among top sellers in its category.

2016 Kia Sedona trims remain the same, and the model still comes in 5 trim levels, including base L, LX, EX, SX and SX-L. New model year did brought some improvements and additions, related to features offered for each trim. The biggest news is addition of a rearview camera as standard feature on all trims. Besides that, EX, SX and SX-Limited trims gained some improvements of their one.

 Base trim, beside newly added rearview camera also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, cruise control, climate control, tilt and telescoping steering wheel with mounted controls,  Bluetooth connection, keyless entry, rear parking sensors, and 7-passenger configuration with fold-flat third row.

The LX trim comes with few additional features, including 8-seat configuration. Besides that, onto the L trim list of standards, LX adds UVO smartphone connectivity, privacy glass, and roof rails.

Middle trim, the EX, offers more. Its list of standards includes, 18-inch wheels, power sliding doors and tailgate, foglights, heated mirrors, more premium interior with leather seats and steering wheel, pushbutton start and heated front seats which are standard from this 2016 MY.

LED taillights, 8-speaker Infinity sound system, a power front passenger seat, ventilated front and heated second-row seats, and a navigation system are part of enhancement for those who choose the SX.

Top trim is equipped for those who prefer luxury. Among already mentioned features, the SX-L comes with bigger, 19-inch wheels, Nappa leather upholstery, a heated wood-wrapped steering and a panoramic sunroof.

Kia also made available multiple optional features for each trim individually. Starting with 2016 Kia Sedona, both SX and SX-L trim can be ordered with 8-seat configuration.

Under the hood, there is no much options. Sedona is packed with one engine, one transmission and one drive configuration. The engine is a 3.3-liter V6 which offers output of 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. The power from the engine is transmitted to front wheels via 6-speed automatic transmission.

EPA-rating for 2016 Kia Sedona is slightly different depending on trim. Three lower trims will consume 18/24 mpg city/hwy, the SX will provide one mile more on the highway, while top trim SXL delivers 17/22 mpg.

Kia already released its 2016 Kia Sedona, and the model can be purchased in dealer showrooms. Pricing starts at $26,400 for the base model, LX starts at $28,500, EX at $32,700, the SX at $36,400 and top trim , SX-Limited with generous equipment slightly under $40,000 ($39,900) to be precise.
