2016 Ford Ranger price, specs

New 2016 Ford Ranger gets a facelift for this model year. Its sales continues in 180 markets worldwide. Production for Asia Pacific markets is done in Thailand. Plant in South Africa supplies African and European markets, while Argentina is its production place for the Latin American markets. Being so, Ford has a lot of responsibility when it comes to Ranger’s styling and engines, but also a lot of risks, since its sales market is so extensive. What exactly is changed, compared to 2016 Ford Ranger predecessor? Let’s review it:

2016 Ford Ranger DESIGN CHANGES

Exterior changes made for this model year include refreshed front and rear ends of the truck. 2016 Ford Ranger styling details resemble Ford Everest SUV. Headlights are sleeker, grille is larger and trapezoidal. Hood is also redesigned slightly to give the model more muscular look.  Ranger didn’t lose its rugged look though. Its changes were made in order to make it more car-like, but without losing the design details that make it what it is – a true pick-up truck.

Interior is rather upgraded than anything other. Features are refreshed, and new Ranger now has larger touchscreen of 8-inhces. Dual-TFT instrument cluster is also new for this model year. Some other interesting features include Sync 2 system, lane keeping alert and aid, adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, park assist (front and rear) tire pressure monitoring system, ESP… etc.
